On Jan. 5, the fourth session of board meeting of School of Business Jiangnan University was held solemnly with nearly 30 directors and representatives of board of directors attended the meeting. Vice-principal of Jiangnan University Gu Zhengbiao, President of School of Business Teng Lefa and other leaders and teacher representatives of universities and colleges attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Executive Vice-President of School of Business Zhu Jinwei. In the meeting, Chairman a of the Board and CEO of Far East Holding Group Jiang Xipei was offered appointment of Chairman of the fourth session of board of directors in School of Business Jiangnan University, and became the first entrepreneur chairman of Jiangnan University School of Business in the history.

Gu Zhengbiao delivered welcoming address, and introduced the development situation of Jiangnan University and School of Business to the guests. He emphasized that the development of higher education needed the supports of industry, enterprise, and all sectors of society, and expressed his sincere thanks to Wuxi entrepreneur representatives’ concern and support to the development of Jiangnan University and School of Business. He affirmed the reform scheme of board of directors of School of Business, and hoped that the new session of board of directors could become an important platform for society to support and supervise the development of college, supervise the bridge for both parties to cooperate and communicate, further promote university-enterprise cooperation, and build new situation of win-win development of university and enterprise.
Teng Lefa made a statement
Teng Lefa indicated that the establishment of the fourth session of board of directors of School of Business was a significant opportunity for the development of School of Business. School of Business would depend on the subject advantages and industrial resources of Jiangnan University, by virtue of the intellectual resource of School of Business, by use of the platform board of directors, by carrying out policy-making consultation, new type of think tank construction, build the synergetic and innovative platform to boost the development of Wuxi enterprises, and provide support and service for talent cultivation, technological innovation, R&D of project and so on of board of directors. He emphasized that the development of board of directors of School of Business should innovate thought, and it was of excellent creativity significance for an entrepreneur to hold the post of chairman of board of directors of college; he expressed sincere thanks to Mr. Jiang Xipei for his acceptance of holding the post of chairman, and expressed strong confidence for the future development of School of Business.

Jiang Xipei said, Jiangnan University was the pride of Wuxi people, and he was very honored to become the chairman of the fourth session of board of directors of School of Business. He emphasized that educational business and industrial business, philanthropy should supplement each other, and industrial business was the basis, to run enterprise well and run industrial business well were the premise of two other main businesses; educational business was the important guarantee for enterprise development, and only learning-type enterprise could have good future; philanthropy was an important way for enterprise to fulfil social responsibility and return to society; he introduced three main businesses of Far East and Far East University, and the development situation of Far East Philanthropic Foundation. He hoped that Wuxi enterprises could innovate development, be brave to be pioneers, and make their efforts to make contribution to social work for the public good. Finally, he hoped that School of Business could be built into “a famous and influential internationalized School of Business across the country”.
