On April 12, Assistant to President and Chief Administrative Officer of Far East Holding Group Chief as well as Executive Director and Secretary of Far East Charity Foundation Zhou Dongjiao, visited Disabled People Far East (Wuzhong) Business Street for investigating the operation, together with Kong Qunling, head of Party, employee, mass and Youth League affairs as well as Secretary of Far East Charity Foundation. The visitors were paid great attention from Wuzhong Municipal Party Committee, Wuzhong Municipal Government, Wuzhong Disabled Person’s Federation and Wuzhong Charity Foundation. Secretary of Wuzhong Municipal Party Committee and Director of the NPC Standing Committee Zhao Yongqing received the visitors in person. Deputy Mayor of Wuzhong Zuo Zhenzhe, Deputy Secretary of Office of Wuzhong Municipal Party Committee Fu Hechun, Director of Wuzhong Disabled Person’s Federation Lu Zhanzhou, and Director of Wuzhong Charity Foundation Sun Yuangang accompanied the visitors throughout the visit to the Project.

At Business Street, head of a training agency told her story about the street. At first, she graduated from Law School of Ningxia University with excellent scores, and looked forward to find a job in the society. However, because she is a disabled person, her job application was declined every time. In desperation, she planned to return to her hometown. At that time, Disabled People Far East (Wuzhong) Business Street was just screening disabled persons to move in, so she submitted an application with expectant and upset mood ... Today, her training agency has earned minor celebrity. "People tell me knowledge can change one person’s fate, but who could understand my helplessness and despair when I was declined everywhere after graduating from a prestigious university. It isFar East Business Streetthat gave me courage and strength to let me finally reverse my fate!", said her.

Zheng Qingli has the similar experiences. Due to disability, he had no fixed job and income source, making him ever almost give up his calligraphy dream. At that time,Far East Business Street offered him a stability and courage to persist. Now, he has been a member of Association of Chinese Calligraphy. At the studio, Zheng Qingli wrote down four characters: "Benevolence around the World", and gave them to Far East Charity Foundation, with the characters filled with deep gratitude. The visiting leaders signed the name on it as their promise of love.

At the meeting, on behalf Wuzhong Municipal Party Committee, Wuzhong Municipal Government, Wuzhong Disabled Person’s Federation, and Wuzhong Charity Foundation, Zuo Zhenzhe expressed gratitude to Far East Holding Group for its care and support over the years to the cause of disabled people. He pointed out that for 4 years since the establishment of Disabled People Far East (Wuzhong)Business Street, it has been active in innovating philanthropy model, and forming industry-type, development-type philanthropy, setting up a flag for the disabled people cause in Wuzhong. He hoped to write a new chapter in the disabled people cause in future, with the mutual efforts with Far East Charity Foundation.

Zhou Dongjiao said the disabled people work has shown a good momentum of development in Wuzhong, and the success ofFar East(Wuzhong) Business Street Project results from joint efforts of all parties. This “common cause” is realized by multi-sides including Wuzhong governmental departments, charity organizations, caring people, and disabled persons. She hoped the disabled friends of theBusiness Streetto continue to exercise their quality of never giving up and keeping self-improvement, to make new achievements with full confidence. She also introduced the first National Disabled People’s Four Realization (entrepreneurship, innovation, excellence and wealth) Forum to the leading officials of Wuzhong that is organized by Far East Charity Foundation, and extended a warm invitation of attendance to the leading officials.

It is known that Disabled People Far East (Wuzhong)Business Streetwas co-founded by Wuzhong Municipal Government and Far East Charity Foundation, planned and financed by Far East Charity Foundation, with the term of five years. Since its establishment on May 20, 2012, a total of 40 people have moved to the Street, and realized the dream of self-reliance and poverty alleviation. The project has received "Yellow River Benevolence" Project Award, and been reported for multiple times by CCTV "News Broadcast", CCTV Financial Channel, Phoenix Finance Channel, Ningxia Television Station, China.com.cn and other famous Chinese media. NPC (women and children affairs), Ministry of Civil Affairs, China Disabled Persons' Federation and other Disabled Persons’ Federations acrossChinahave organized several times of investigation activities to Wuzhong.

In future, Far East Charity Foundation will put meeting multi-level needs of disabled people at the first place, with more attention paid to "teaching a man how to fish", and carry out series of projects helping disabled people to get employed and establish their own business, namely, "Disabled People Far East Supportive Place", with establishing 30 to 50 Disabled People Far East Supportive Places yearly in 2-3 cities of the country; meanwhile, strive to collect all forces of the society to make mutual efforts in developing and improving the cause of disabled people. The first National Disable People’s Four Realization Forum that is being actively organized by Far East Charity Foundation will be opened in Beijing on May 12. By the time, well-known domestic and foreign charitable organizations, and caring people will be invited to attend this grand event!
