400-882-6908Recently, the recommended awarding list of the 16th China Quality Award has been issued. “The ±800 kV Xiangjiaba-Shanghai Ultrahigh Voltage Direct Current Transmission Demonstration Project”, strategically supplied by Far East Cable Co. Ltd., a wholly- owned subsidiary under Far East Smarter Energy Co. Ltd. (Abbreviation: Smarter Energy, Stock code: 600869), wins the nomination of “Excellent Project Award of China Quality Award”.
As the wire supplier of this project, Far East Cable Co. Ltd supplies over 5,000 tons of ACSR720/50 aluminum conductor steel reinforced for smart power grids. ACSR720/50 aluminum conductor steel reinforced for smart power grids is a new large section wire developed by Far East Cable Co. Ltd and its various performance index meet the project’s technology demands with its performance data in corona test, conductor resistance, mechanics test having higher margin, which satisfy the quality demands of this project.
This project was successfully put into operation in July, 2010. In order to commend Far East Cable Co. Ltd for its great contribution, Jiang Huajun, vice-president and CEO of Far East Smarter Energy Co. Ltd., and Wang Chuanbin, senior vice general manager, CTO of cable industry and CQO of Far East Smarter Energy Co. Ltd. are appraised and chosen as “State Grid UHVDC Transmission Demonstration Project Important Contribution Experts” by the State Grid Corporation of China. During the six years' operation, the section laid with wires supplied by Far East Cable Co. Ltd have undergone the test of severe weather of typhoon, thunderstorm and high temperature, and complicated working conditions and its safe reliability has reached the internationally advanced level, safeguarding the project’s “long period and zero accident” and stable operation.
“The ±800 kV Xiangjiaba-Shanghai Ultrahigh Voltage Direct Current Transmission Demonstration Project” is China’s first ultrahigh voltage direct current transmission project. It is autonomously designed and constructed by China and tops in the world’s direct current transmission projects in terms of transmission capacity, transmission distance, technology level and voltage classes, representing China's world-class innovation achievement in energy field and the world's highest level high voltage direct current transmission technology at present. It was awarded the “2011 National Golden Quality Engineering Award”.
