    On December 2, the awarding ceremony of Far East Charitable Foundation Scholarship and Faculty Awards was held in Fandao Middle School of Yixing. Jiang Xiaofeng, Director of Cultural and Educational Office of Gaocheng town,Yixing, Su Erjin, President of Fandao Middle School, Chen Qiming and Bao Yun, Vice Presidents of Fandao Middle School, Zhou Dongjiao, an investor, Assistant President and CAO of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd., and Secretary-general and Executive Director-general of Far East Charitable Foundation, and Kong Qunling, an investor, Lead of Department of Party Work of Mass Organizations and Assistant to Secretary-general of Far East Charitable Foundation attended this ceremony hosted by Bao Yun.

　　Chen Qiming introduced the situation of the final exam of last term and the 2016 Senior High School Entrance Examination, and announced the winners of the 2016 Fandao Middle School Education Capability Promotion Award, Education Quality Excellency Award and Far East Scholarship. The leaders present gave awards to the representatives of award-winning teachers.

　　Su Erjin extended his heartfelt thanks to Far East Holding Group and Far East Charitable Foundation for their years of support to the education in hometown and the development of Fandao Middle School and he said that Fandao Middle School would try harder to live up to the expectations of Far East and the people in the hometown, further improve the school operation level and teaching quality and make Fandao Middle School a famous brand.

　　On behalf of Jiang Xipei, founder, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Honorary Director-general of Far East Charitable Foundation, and more than 11,000 staff of Far East Holding Group, Zhou Dongjiao congratulated the award-winning students and teachers. She pointed out that Far East persisted in the coordinated development of “three major causes” (industry, education and charity) and paid equal attention to business value and social value for years. Far East Charitable Foundation started to support the education development of Fandao in 2010 and had already handed out a total of nearly RMB 2 million scholarship and faculty awards.

　　She shared with the teachers and students in Fandao Middle School a good habit: reading, which would benefit for a lifetime, an misinterpreted idiom: “every man for himself and the devil take the hindmost” (original meaning: the society will not accept one who doesn’t cultivate his or her moral character), a group of thought-provoking formulas: 1365= 1, 1.01365≈37.8, and 0.99365≈0.03, to encourage all of them to make progress every day, and a group of meaningful Chinese characters: command(only when you try harder today can you be entitled to give command tomorrow), comfortable (only when you are willing to give can you feel comfortable), deceive (once you deceive others, you will be looked down upon immediately), inferior (less effort makes you inferior to others), value (one is valuable only when he or she has integrity), rise (every promotion results from one’s own efforts) and win (crisis awareness, reputation, accumulation over a long period, wealth and starting small). She emphasized that reading was the nobility with the lowest threshold, and every achievement came through continuous effort. She hoped that they could strive “to the utmost” in their study and daily life, struggle to the extent of moving oneself, make learning a habit and make progress every day.

　　At this awarding ceremony, on behalf of the award-winning students and teachers respectively, Tang Yechen and Diao Yinghua made statement of their positions.

　　It is said that from now on, “Far East Scholarship” and “Far East Faculty Award” of Far East Charitable Foundation will further cover all the elementary and secondary schools in Yixing and give awards to excellent students and teachers in these schools to promote progress in the city’s overall teaching level, stabilize the excellent faculty of Yixing and lift the education level of Yixing.
