Practice the Craftsmanship, Salute to Craftsman Models—Jiang Xipei Attends the Recording of China’s

    On April 22, the special program “Ingenuity Builds a Dream” of CCTV China’s Great Master was recording in Beijing. The program is designed under the theme of “Practice the Craftsmanship, Fly the Dream of Skill Masters” and to salute to five “craftsman models”. Jiang Xipei, the founder, board chairman and party secretary of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd., was invited as award presenter for saluting to craftsman models.

    The deeds of five “craftsman models” respectively showed people the significance elements of ingenuity—“inheritance”, “perfection”, “responsibility”, “probing”, and “devotion”. The dreams of five “craftsman models” mirrored the inherent spirit of craftsmen.

The Recording Field

    Jiang Xipei was invited to award Li Hongxin, a 10kV live-line operation master, who represents the keyword “responsibility” for saluting to the “craftsman models”. As the head of live-line operation team from State Grid Corporation of China Yantai Branch, Li Hongxin worked with electricity for 20 years and created three “No.1s” in the industry nationwide: He was the No.1 worker to conduct the 10kV live-line operation in 1996, and risked his life for solving the frequently outages in some areas; he ranked No.1 for the number of live-line operations nationwide since he leaded the work team to completed over 8,600 live-line operations in the past 18 years; he was praised as “the No.1 worker of 10kV live-line operation” because the demonstration based on the practice of his team has been published nationwide and trained 6,000 person-times trainees. Li Hongxin was awarded the National Labor Medal by All-China Federation of Trade Unions in May 2014.

    Jiang Xipei said in the speech: “Mr. Li is the outstanding representative of grid system”. First of all, he has the nerve to do the job that most people are afraid to do; secondly, he not only is very skilled, ,but has trained the more than 6,000 apprentices; thirdly, he is a responsible man who makes contributions to his unit, the State Grid Corporation of China and the whole society; fourthly, he is emotionally attached to his family. He has concealed his job from families for fifteen years, in order to keep families from worrying him. It is really very touching.

    As one of the award presenter, Jiang Xipei is one of the most respected private entrepreneurs in China, the leader of manufacturing and the outstanding representative of China’s industries. Lately, in the program “For the Chinese Industry Endorsement” of CCTV Financial Channel Dialogue, Jiang Xipei and famous Chinese entrepreneurs gathered and discussed such topics as how does Wuxi, which is the origins of Chinese national commerce and industry and Chinese township enterprise, inherit the gene of industry & commerce and the craftsmanship. Speaking of “craftsmanship”, he said, we have to practice and promote craftsmanship in this era! Craftsmanship is reflected in every aspect of establishment and sustainable development of the enterprise, no matter when Jiang was a watch and clock repairer to be strict with every detail or when he was an entrepreneur to stick to lean manufacturing of products and high standards of services, and even the full endeavors to build a national brand.
