Lately, we heard good news from Far East Holding Group ---
Far East Cable Co., Ltd. and New Far East Cable Co., Ltd. subordinate to Far East Smart Energy (referred to as Smart Energy stock code:600869), a subsidiary of the Group together won the bidding of “Changji-Guquan ±1100kV UHVDC Transmission Line Project of State Grid Corporation of China”. As the supplier of core products, Far East supplies transmission wires made with breakthrough technologies for the engineering construction.
This project breaks the world record!
World’s highest voltage classes
Largest transmission capacity
Longest conveying distance
Most advanced technologies
Crossing 3304.7 kilometers, via 6 provinces (regions) Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan and Anhui transmits 12 million kilowatts of electric energy in the form of ±1100kV extra-high voltage direct current.
According to estimates, this amount of electric energy is equivalent to the total generated energy of 12 large-scale thermal power stations directly being transmitted from the most west Changji, Xinjiang to Guquan, Anhui in the east.
Compared with China’s existing highest class ±800Kv UHVDC transmission line -----
The transmission capacity increased by 50%
Conveying distance increased from the former 2000 kilometers to 3000 kilometers
Its completion will play a critical role in realizing the large-scale synchronization of renewable energy sources, the long-distance power transmission and building the interconnection of power grids in China’s remote areas.
As the supplier of the most complete smart cables with the largest sales volume, Far East has supplied its products for major national infrastructure construction projects, major power grid projects and renovation projects.
Far East has participated in projects such as Three Georges Power Transmission Project, the Engineering Project of Shanghai Expo, Shanghai World Financial Center, space lab Tiangong 2 and Shenzhou-11 spacecraft. As early as in 2008, Far East participated in the construction of “the Demonstration Project of Xiangjiaba-Shanghai±800kV UHVDC” and showed its capabilities in the construction of power expressway for national West-East Electricity Transmission Project. After that, the company has constantly gathered experience, worked on the research and development of UHV technology, and successfully developed the key technology of ±1100kV UHVDC cables.
In addition to products supplied, the company’s technology and service team will also participate in the system design of the project to offer comprehensive solutions to its operation. This manifests the status of Far East in the fields of UHV projects and the smart power grids.
