Far East Holding Group held "Harmony and Spirit Heritage Again" event

On May 14, the first-session event of Far East Holding Group 2016 "Harmony and Spirit Heritage Again" was held at Harmony Hall in Far East University. The event has the following three themes: what is the Harmony and Spirit, where is the Harmony and Spirit, and both excellent merit and performance is regarded as basis. Assistant to President and Chief Administrative Office of Far East Holding Group Zhou Dongjiao attended and presided over the event. More than 100 people came for the event, including the internationalization class students and employees interested in the event.

In the round table dialogue, Zhou Dongjiao and other six guests talked about the essence of the Harmony and Spirit culture, and excellence in both merit and performance. The five guests were Director of Extra High Voltage Cable Factory of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (abbreviation: Smarter Energy; stock code: 600869) Xu Mao, Assistant To Director of No.2 International Business Department and Director of No.2 International Cable Business Department of Far East Cable Zhou Xiaolan, General Ledger Account of Financial Funds Department Ren Jianxi, Deputy Supervisor Engineer of Equipment and Machine of Equipment Power Department Tian Chongjun, Specialist of the development services district Wu Chun, and representative on behalf of Relay 100 graduate students Kang Na.

The 6 guests are from different job position, who are different in the number of years they have worked at Far East, including those serving Far East for more than a decade, business backbones working at Far East for over five years, and new employees who just worked atFar Eastone year ago. Their understanding and perception of the Spirit and Harmony Culture are rather typical and representative. Xu Mao talked about the application and reflection of the Harmony and Spirit Culture in the communication with suppliers from the perspective of manager, which highlighted the management wisdom based on “harmony” and operated with “spirit”.  Using a variety of fresh and vivid cases, Zhou Xiaolan illustrated how to apply the essence of the Harmony and Spirit to realize mutual benefits and a win-win with customers. Working at business departments, Ren Jianxi and Wu Chun regard "not old-fashioned, focus on innovation and good at cooperation" as very important principles in their work. Tian Chongjun is a technical talent, so he shared the cases of cooperation and exchange with foreign technical personnel, and his speech highlighted the extraordinary influence of the Harmony and Spirit Culture across ethnical groups and nations. Kang Na, a Relay 100 graduate student who represents the company's new force, combined her emotional and rational understandings about the Harmony and Spirit Culture in the speech, representing the recognition by the company’s new-generation employees that more shows strong vitality and cohesion of the Culture.

In 2016, the company further sublimed "people-oriented" concept, and put forward taking "Based on Both good morals and excellent academic performance”, tilting the resources and platforms further toward the employees excellent in both merit and performance. The guests said that taking " Based on Both good morals and excellent academic performance " will help to further promote a healthy competition among employees, and inspire their working enthusiasm. Therefore, it implies great significance in forming a good internal competitive environment and optimizing resources allocation within the company. She interpreted uniquely the meaning of "赢(win)": "亡" part represents a sense of risk and a spirit of sacrifice; "口" part represents Word of Mouth and communication skills; "月" part represents time efficiency management and accumulation over time; "贝" part represents an integration of resources and value-added wealth; "凡" part represents doing well in each thing and keep a normal heart. Her novel, unique interpretation has been widely recognized by the employees participated in.

 She summarized that for 26 years, the Harmony and Spirit Culture has continuously inspired and encouraged Far East employees to pioneer and innovative, and proactively pursued progress, becoming Far East people’s spiritual power "internalizing in heart". In the new stage of development, carrying out the "Harmony and Spirit Heritage Again" event will help to promote effective integration of individual progress and the company's growth to realize a harmonious and spiritual win-win. She also stressed that the philosophy of taking "both excellence in merit and performance as the basis” is an upgrading of being "strong both morally and intellectually". The most durable, the most superior, the most sustainable development, and the highest level of relationship between employee and company need to meet the needs between each other and achievement between each achievement, and to provide value.
