Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. Was Awarded with Jiangsu Charity Prize for Three Consecutive Times

    On September 4, the 3rd Award Ceremony of “Jiangsu Charity Prize” was solemnly held in Nanjing on the eve of first ever Chinese Charity Day. Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. won Jiangsu Charity Prize for three consecutive times and was awarded as The Most Philanthropic Company. Zhou Dongjiao, Assistant President and CAO of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. as well as Secretary-General and Executive Director of Far East Philanthropic Foundation, and Kong Qunling, head of Party members, labor union, mass organizations of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Assistant Secretary-General of Far East Philanthropic Foundation, were invited to the Award Ceremony to present the award.

    Such leaders as Zhang Jinghua, Vice-Governor of Jiangsu Province, Yu Xingde, Chairman of Jiang Su Charity Federation, He Quan, Chairman of the Red Cross Society of China Jiangsu Branch, Xu Guozhu, Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu Government, Si Jinquan, Vice Minister of Publicity Department of and Chief of Office of International Communication of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Hou Xueyuan, Secretary of Party groups of and Director of Jiangsu Provincial Civil Affairs Department, Qi Xisheng, member of Party groups of and Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Civil Affairs Department, Sha Weiwei, member of Party groups of and Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Civil Affairs Department, and Xu Guolin, member of party groups of and Vice Chairman of the Red Cross Society of China Jiangsu Branch, and representatives of award winners attended Forum of Representatives of Award Winners and the Award Ceremony. Xu Guozhu said on the Forum with expectation that “I hope our award winners after receiving the award can continuously make realistic efforts as before, can become practitioners and advocators of charity culture and Charity Law, thus playing a role as a model for other companies. I hope our award winners can affect more people with your own charitable actions, concepts and stories and make charity truly strike root in people’s hearts.”

    On the Forum, Zhou Dongjiao introduced the development history of Far East Philanthropic Foundation and its special secret for charity, that is, “Five Creations” (Business starting, innovation, excellence creation, wealth building and happiness creation) and also offered three prerequisites as a minimum to realize the most powerful charity. The first is to do with all your heart. Specifically speaking, to look at others in a friendly way, to encourage, praise and comfort others more, to get along with others and do things with smiles, to take actions to help others, and to open up your heart and be sincere to others. The second is to take root in Chinese culture and learn from Western operation mode of charity works in a standard and professional way. The last is to do sustainable charity. In this regard, it is about calling upon the whole society to take charitable actions and unleashing potential of vulnerable groups, so as to form a trend of all-people charity. Thus, one person influences another, and big love brings more love.

    In 2007, such private enterprises as Far East Holding Co., Ltd. initiated to found Far East Philanthropic Foundation. Since its foundation, Far East Philanthropic Foundation has been devoted to charity and public good, adhered to equal attention to physical charity and spiritual charity, and helped disabled persons and social vulnerable groups to get jobs, to start a business and to receive education. From Chong Yip Street and Chong Yip Park for disabled persons to supporting point to help disabled persons start business and from money and material donation — pre-job training — provision of jobs — support in business starting, Far East Philanthropic Foundation has been exploring new ideas and measures for charity and public good. It also advocates the charity concept of “Five Creations”. Far East Philanthropic Foundation shows us borderless love and water-like top virtue as well as honorable qualities (be brave to take responsibilities and active in devotion).

    Jiangsu Charity Prize was firstly set in 2011 and its award ceremony is held biennially to award companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Jiangsu charitable cause, to publicize representative deeds, to call upon the whole society to learn from exemplary deeds and promote charitable actions (be willing to make devotion and happy in doing good), and to advocate meritorious deeds, such as fulfilling social responsibilities and making contributions to the society with sincerity. The 3rd Award Ceremony of “Jiangsu Charity Prize” has five awards, that is, “Outstanding Charity Worker”, “The Most Charitable Individual”, “The Most Charitable Company”, “The Most Powerful Charitable Project” and “The Most Charitable Act”. In total, there are 80 award winners who won “Jiangsu Charity Prize”.
