Jiang Xipei Attends Bank of China Charity Night 2016

    On the evening of October 10, Bank of China held a charity event named “Desiring the Good, Time-Honored Heritage”. Attendees include Tian Guoli, chairman of the board of the Bank of China; Chen Siqing, Bank of China president; Yue Liang, secretary of Xianyang Party Committee; Adam Silver, NBA president; guests from units like Central Huijin Investment Ltd., the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, People’s Bank of China, etc. and more than 130 caring people. Jiang Xipei, secretary of Far East Holding Group Party Committee, chairman of the board, CEO, honorary chairman of Far East Charitable Foundation, was invited to the event and won the bid of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Commemorative Banknotes at RMB 900,000.

    Tian Guoli said in his speech that Bank of China is an international bank with over a hundred years of history. It has more than 600 overseas institutions in 47 countries and regions. Bank of China is preparing to set up the Bank of China Charitable Foundation, to pool love and goodwill of the world to help the poor, to deliver warmth to people in difficulties and to light up hope for dreams.

    Jiang Xipei said that elimination of poverty and common prosperity is the aspiration of the 1.3 billion Chinese people. No matter where you are and where you are from, the whole society shall actively participate in activities of precision poverty alleviation, deliver love, pool strength, form universal charity, and work together to help the poor with their dreams.

    This Bank of China Charity Night made a good attempt to construct multi-faceted financial poverty alleviation ecology. The auction items include Xin embroidery, paper cutting, painting and calligraphy and handicrafts with rich local characteristics of Xianyang, Shaanxi, and also photos, jerseys, sneakers with star signatures provided by NBA. In the auction session, Jiang Xipei won the bid of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Commemorative Banknotes (series of “Harmonious Union” and “United Pleasure”) at RMB 900,000. All the charitable donations will be used on the establishment of the upcoming Bank of China Charitable Foundation, specially used for poverty alleviation public welfare undertakings in the “four northern counties” in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, which is the designated poverty alleviation area of Bank of China.
