Brand Value of Far East Holding Group Reaches RMB 35.2 bn, with An Increase of 25%

    The current era is an era for brand competition. Without brand competition advantages, enterprises will hardly achieve healthy and steady development. Far East knows well about it and has always been engaged in pursuing extraordinary brand value.

    Recently, the press conference of the 11th Asia Brand Ceremony and “Asian Brands Top 500” Awards Event jointly sponsored by Asia Brand Association (ABA), People's Daily Overseas Edition and Xinhua News and other organizations was held in Beijing. Far East Holding Group has realized a continuous promotion in the list of “Asian Brands Top 500” and ranks 315th, rising 41 places from previous year. Among the 285 Chinese enterprises in the list, Far East ranks 143rd. Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (stock code: 600869) won the title of “2016 Most Valuable Chinese Listed Innovative Companies Top 100”. In 2016, the brand value of Far East Holding Group reaches RMB 35,268 million, with an increase of RMB 7,118 million and a growth rate of 25% compared with that of last year.

  The appraisal and selection of “Asian Brands Top 500” was completed under the main leadership of ABAS Experts Committee. The evaluation system remained the one adopted in the first session, which carries out comprehensive assessment on brands of strong Asian enterprises from four aspects including market performance, development potential, quality level and profitability. In the meantime, ten specific indicators were set up, including brand age, degree of internationalization, marketing mix, brand popularity, growth rate of total assets, innovation ability, after-sales service, quality level, operating revenue and net profit; the independently developed brand value evaluation model was also adopted, namely the equation VB=V0 + Vc. Data involved in the calculation were mainly enterprises’ fiscal data and brand strength coefficient. The comprehensive evaluation makes the list more credible and influential.

  Due to importance attached to brand promotion and market influence in daily enterprise management, Far East Holding Group has been included into the list for several times and its brand value is increasing at a double-digit growth rate annually. As a result, Far East has also made remarkable improvement in fields such as brand construction, development potential, market competitiveness and international influence.

    Founded in 1990, Far East Holding Group has gone through five reforms and achieved six leaping-over achievements. It has been awarded with honors such as “Top 500 Chinese Enterprises”, “Asian Brands Top 500”, “Top 100 Chinese Brands”, “National Customer Satisfied Enterprises”, “Best Employers in China” and “National Learning-oriented Enterprises”. At present, the annual operating revenue of the group reaches over RMB 30 billion.

    Adhering to its mission of “creating value and serving society” and the development strategy of “main business + investment”, Far East is working to be “a global investment management specialist and smart energy expert”.     It is reported that in its main business, the transformation strategy of smart energy industrial chain is advancing constantly and the establishment of energy networking platform is gradually perfected; it has made significant achievements in investment that by the end of September 2016, Far East has invested in 329 enterprises, among which 82 are listed companies (27 of them are listed in the “New Third Board Stock”). The 2020 development goal of Far East: the annual operating revenue exceeds RMB 135 billion, RMB 100 billion of which comes from smart energy; the annual net profit exceeds RMB 6 billion, RMB 5 billion of which comes from smart energy; annual market value exceeds RMB 150 billion, annual brand value exceeds RMB 50 billion, and the annual per capital income of staff exceeds RMB 150,000.
