To Learn Wang Yangming’s Philosophy of the Mind and To Be a Good Employee of Far East

    The 4thZhiliangzhi Study Session and “Zhi 28” Top Managers Study Session Phase II was held in Beijing from May 31 to June 2, 2017. Over 30 leaders of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Far East”) attended the study session, including Zhang Xilan, investor and vice chairperson of Board of Directors of Far East, Jiang Chengzhi, investor, director of Far East and chairman of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869), Jiang Huajun, investor, vice president and chief executive officer of Smarter Energy, and other directors, supervisors, top managers and leaders in charge from Far East, Smarter Energy and subsidiaries. Hosted by Yangming Philosophy Academy (hereinafter referred to as “Academy”), the activity attracted over 400 top managers from numerous famous enterprises, such as Conba, Jingying Group, Newland, Semir, Kingdee and Dahan Group. They sat together to read the articles in terms of the Philosophy of the Mind proposed by Wang Yangming, a famous figure living in Ming dynasty of ancient China, shared real cases and received the baptism of life again.

    On the evening of May 31, 2017, the study session was launched formally. Zhang Liping, secretary general of the Academy, answered the questions raised by students for the learning of the Philosophy of the Mind, and HaiFeng, a teacher of the Academy, led the students to learn the articles in terms of the Philosophy of the Mind.

    The class began on June 1, 2017. Students reviewed the brilliant history of China and the hardships experienced by the Chinese nation by watching The Sky of the History, a TV play of China, and listening to the speech Solemn Person, Solemn Business and Solemn China made by BaiLixin, founder of the Academy. Zhang Liping led the students to learn the Thing of Right or Wrong Decides Success or Failure, and indicated that since innate knowledge was the biggest capital and mind resource was the precious wealth, the management mode of enterprise should be transformed from human resource management to mind resource management. Zhang Liping also pointed out that the combination of thinking mode, enthusiasm and ability of people would lead them to success, and correct thinking mode was the crucial part of being successful.

    HaiFeng helped the students to make more visualized and specific understanding of Wang Yangming’s legendary life of “noble morals, great achievements and theoretical contributions” by learning his life and his experience of governing Nan’an and Ganzhou, and learn to adhere to the principle of “being ambitious and studious, correcting mistakes and asking for being good” to have a happy life. Typical students from enterprises and Fortune Global 500 shared their thoughts after learning, receiving warm applauses from other students on the spot.

    On the evening of June 1, 2017, ZhiChuan answered the eternal question of “Who am I? Where am I come from and where am I going to?”, arousing the  sympathy among students. The most moving scene was that students organized to share their thoughts voluntarily after the class, and top managers of Far East also sat in a circle to express their own opinions and encourage each other.

    Jiang Huajun thought that it was necessary to ask employees of Far East to learn the extensive and profound Philosophy of the Mind untiringly to create an efficient, tight and excellent team. Jiang Chengzhi learned that trust and unity were the footstone for human communication as well as the guarantee of effective communication. Therefore, the informal person-to-person communication mechanism should be established between chief executive officer and top manager as well as top manager and subordinate to bridge the distance between people, strengthen the communication, resolve disagreements and finally reach a consensus.

    On June 2, 2017, Zhang Liping led the students to solve the equation of being successful. Students are required to fill in the Dream Card and read out loudly. All students of Far East, led by Jiang Chengzhi, stepped on the stage and read out the dream proudly and loudly: “We will spare no effort to make contribution to the prosperity of China and make joint efforts with all staff of Far East to build Far East into a three-century-old global company respected by others and benefit the people from all over the world!” Finally, students sang the song of Ode to the Motherland patriotically, announcing the successful end of the study session.

    The study session was solemn and impassioned and many students were moved in the course of learning. Top managers engaged in the study session indicated that it was not only a baptism for their minds but also a light for guiding their future, and top managers of Far East pointed out that they would constantly enhance learning and the mind and adhere to the unity of knowledge and action to become an excellent employee of Far East and live a perfect life!

    In 2015, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the course of Two Sessions that “Wang Yangming’s Philosophy of the Mind was the essence of traditional Chinese culture as well as one of ways for enhancing the cultural confidence of Chinese people”, leading to the rise of the Philosophy of the Mind in recent years.

    Yangming Philosophy Academy was established in Beijing in 2014, and now it has 350 registered enterprises and 80 core members. The establishment of the Academy aims at building a platform of learning and practice for people to learn the wisdom from the Philosophy of the Mind and apply it to the activity of enhancing the mind and expanding the business to achieve the unity of knowledge and action and benefit the society. By virtue of “four-method-based learning” (i.e. reading the article, testing a hundred varieties of herbs, practicing devotedly and encouraging people through cases), students were able to learn from the departed scholars directly about the unity of knowledge and action and experience the essence of Saint-Oriented Culture.
