Zhang Xilan Invited to Attend 2017 Chinese Management Model 50 Forum

    The 2017 Chinese Management Model 50 Forum（C50 Forum for short）, hosted by Chinese Management Model Research Council, was held in Shanghai on October 14. Zhang Xilan, Investor, Vice Chairman of the Board, CEO, and executive deputy secretary of Party Committee of Far East Holding Group, was invited to discuss about Chinese management model, and probe into the unique value of Chinese management under the background of cultural self-confidence together with 25 management scholars and 25 entrepreneurs, including Chen Chunhua, Professor of National School of Development at Peking University, Ding Yuan, Vice President of China Europe International Business School, Ma Xufei, Professor of Management at Chinese University of Hong Kong, Xu Shaochun, Chairman of the Board of Kingdee International Software Group, Cao Wenjie, Chairman of Xintonglian Packaging Group, and Fu Shenglong, Chairman of Dahan Holding Group.

    The forum matched one management scholar with one entrepreneur by drawing lots, and formed 25 pairs in total. Each pair will take turns to serve as Chairman and convener of entrepreneurs in future C50 Forum, representing the unity of theories and practices. Zhang Xilan was paired with Ma Xufei, Professor of Management at Chinese University of Hong Kong.

    At the meeting, management scholars and entrepreneurs conducted full discussion and exchange on all agendas, and brought forward opinions valuable for the creation of Chinese management model. At the forum, Zhang Xilan shared the development history of Far East Holding Group, the social responsibilities it bears and the expectations for Chinese Management Model 50 Forum.

    She said, Far East had gone through five system reforms in a forward-looking and pragmatic attitude since its establishment in 1985. It has become the NO.1 in the cable industry of China, also has completed the layout in green new energy system, Internet+, power batteries, new energy vehicles, etc. In its development, it always attaches equal importance to the “three major causes”, namely industry, education and charity, devoting to become a highly respected enterprise with sense of social responsibility. In 2007, based on the idea of “contributing RMB 1 for each disabled person”, Far East Holding Group contributed RMB 82.96 million, and launched the Far East Charitable Foundation, China's largest non-public funding charitable foundation providing targeted funding for career training of disabled people; it also calls on society to call “cripple” with physical defects as “disabled people”, to justify for the disabled by appellation and treat them with full respect.

    Being unforgettable of gratitude when becoming rich, Far East actively supports the cause of education, and sets up items of scholarship and teaching award in many colleges and universities across the country. In 2017, Far East Holding Group contributed RMB 120 million to Far East Charitable Foundation, and set up the Education Award Fund of Far East, to advance the development of educational career in Yixing City. An award fund of RMB 6 million was distributed in one-off way a few days ago. With the goal of establishing a learning-oriented enterprise, Far East founded Far East University constantly cultivating talents for corporate development.
