Thus how to realize complementary advantages has become a mission of China’s public enterprises and leading enterprises in the industry to regard People’s yearning for a better life as their goal. It is not only the government’s mission, but a market opportunity entrepreneurs should see. Meanwhile China should learn from the advanced technology and finance of the UK.
Jiang Xipei delivers a speech
In recent years, Far East has had an overall arrangement in the field of smart energy, including some projects cooperated with the UK. Jiang Xipei introduced that Far East, with Detroit Electric Vehicles Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Detroit Electric) and Yixing Environmental Protection Science and Technology Industrial Park, had established an electric vehicle joint venture company. Detroit Electric, founded over 100 years ago, is the earliest electric vehicle brand in the world, with an automobile assembly enterprise in the UK.
As the cradle of the Industrial Revolution and the modern industry, the UK served as the guest of honor of this fair. Thus the UK Country of Honor Forum was specially designed at the International Cooperation Forum. Government representatives from China and the UK attended this conference, including Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Zheng Hong, Director of the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation of MIIT, Baroness Fairhead, Minister for Trade and Export Promotion at the Department for International Trade (DIT), and John Peace, Chairman of the “Midland Engine”. The guests had an in-depth discussion on the great opportunity for cooperation between China and the UK in the manufacturing. They thought the proposals represented by the strategy of “UK Industry 2050”, showed unremitting efforts the UK made to promote the manufacturing, through which a “golden time” for China-UK partnership had come.
2017 is a key year for implementing the initiatives of the “Made in China 2025” and the “Belt and Road” in an all-round way. Carrying out the strategy of promoting international cooperation specific to the field of industry and information technology, we should strengthen the international capacity cooperation, to win the priority of industry development and enhancing the international competitiveness of industry. Currently, industrial manufacturing enterprises in China, which implement the strategy of “going out” and “bringing in technologies”, are facing a rare historical opportunity. High-end equipment manufacturing products and enterprises in China have gradually expanded the international market development capability and the competitive power. Based on the principle of “extensive consultation, shared benefits and joint contribution”, more Chinese enterprises will benefit from the “Belt and Road” Initiative supported by countries along the route in the future, so as to promote the pace of “go out policy” and investment cooperation.
