The First Batch of Lifting Cables Are Set to Light up China Zun—a New Landmark in Beijing

On March 5, Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Far East Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Far East Cable), has supplied China Zun (CITIC Tower) Project with the first batch of vertical and laying cables for super high-rise buildings which were delivered to the contractor after arriving in Beijing. The cable laying of core power is about to light up the new landmark in Beijing.

　　The vertical and laying cables for super high-rise buildings that Far East Cable provided for China Zun is the fruit made by Far East R & D Team, lasting for more than a year from R & D, testing, production to delivery. The first batch of cables will be installed in Z5 Area (F44-57) of the tower. Two of the cables will be hoisted by a specially-developed double lifting sling, which is the first case in the world. The lifting slings designed for the special shaft structure of buildings have been also shipped.

　　For the sake of the smooth development of cable laying, a professional R & D service team, composed of Wang Chuanbin, an investor, Associate Director of the Supervisory Board, Senior Consultant and Chief Expert of Far East Cable, Miao Lilong, an investor, Assistant to Marketing Director of the cable industry and Marketing Director of Far East Cable, Zhou Feng, an investor, and Assistant to Director of the R & D Department of Power Cables, Liu Xue, an investor and Assistant Engineer of the R & D Department of Power Cables, Zhai Yelei, an investor, and Junior Engineer of cable technical service of the Technical Services Department, and Ren Hongnian, an investor and Marketing Manager, went to the site as soon as the cables were delivered to Beijing. The team aims to provide professional technical training for the contractor and hoisting construction team of China Zun Project, including protective measures of cables, corresponding placement of each cable, lifting schemes, and laying matters needing attention.

　　For China Zun, a second use of Far East Cable’s vertical and laying cables for super high-rise buildings, there are higher requirements on the lifting. It is required to continuously install more than 10 cables based on the 450-millimeter-wide weak current well. The team has entered the construction site inside the tower for on-the-spot investigation for many times, to provide professional instruction in the placement of cables, routes of cable laying, as well as arrangement and use of lifting accessories. For China Zun Project, as soon as the cables are delivered to the tower, the R & D service team of Far East Cable will track the whole process to ensure safe and orderly installation of lifting cables.
