More than 1,300 attended this annual event, including middle and senior managers, marketing managers, and representatives of outstanding employees from the Group and subsidiaries. They summed up achievements and shortcomings in the past, and also planned strategies and development for the coming year.
Summary and Prospect
As the highlight of this annual meeting, Jiang Xipei, Founder, Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the Party Committee of Far East Holding Group, made a summary for the annual meeting titled With the Sublimation of Soul, Co-create a Great Far East. "We have never forgotten our original intention—creating value and serving society, and we have never forgotten our mission. Therefore, we could live well in such a competitive society, and we will certainly have a more wonderful future.” He said at the beginning.

He put forward four requirements in his speech: first, learn from sages and closely follow leaders to improve spiritual quality; second, set clear objectives and plan the overall arrangement to enhance core competitiveness; third, work in concert for innovation and excellence, to exceed customers’ expectations; fourth, strive to the best of our capabilities, to create miracles, and win dignity for ourselves and our country. In his one-hour speech, Chairman Jiang Xipei did not speak too much about management ideas, but vividly talked about his own thoughts, just like a head of a family. He hopes that everyone in the Far East family could have a great sense of achievement and is very happy every day, showing their best to their colleagues, families and the world. He firmly believes that in such a wonderful era, we should learn from sages and closely follow leaders to improve spiritual quality, because improving spiritual quality is the most important strategy for one’s life, while winning customers is the most important strategy for a company. If understanding this well, implementing strategies in a better way, and enhancing our competence in leading, decision-making, execution and coordination, we will certainly be invincible, and win the decisive battle.

Jiang Chengzhi, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group, and Chairman of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Smarter Energy, stock code: 600869) gave an annual work report titled Set Out Again with Unchanged Original Intention. In 2017, the business of Smarter Energy experienced transformation and upgrading, the structure was continuously optimized, and the proportions of new energy and other business continued to increase. In 2018, we will stick to taking cultural values as the guideline, taking customers as the core, and taking people with good character and performance as the basis, to improve the leadership of leaders, the cohesion of culture, the competitiveness of products, the synergy competency in ecology, and the integration power in the world.

Jiang Huajun, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group, and Vice Chairman and CEO of Smarter Energy, pointed out in his report that, in 2017, Smarter Energy went ahead in big strides steadily and surely: it invested over RMB 10 billion in expanding the business of lithium batteries, held a stake in Beijing Jinghang'an Airport Engineering Co., Ltd., and entered the field of smart airport services; it was deeply rooted in the international market, and seized the opportunity of global energy interconnection...In 2018, backed by three centers (strategic decision center, supervision & audit center, and resource allocation center) and the co-development of several industries(cables, batteries, electrics, and engineering), Smarter Energy will fully consolidate its industrial chain layout.

General managers and representatives of some subsidiaries also gave annual work reports successively. They reviewed business performance and key working measures of their companies in 2017, pointed out the problems existing in current development, and proposed general working ideas, business goals and key working measures for 2018.
Chen Jing, Director and COO of Smarter Energy, as well as Executive General Manager of Far East’s cable industry, said that in 2017, the operation revenue of Smarter Energy’s cable business hit a record high, and the company provided services for national- and world-class key projects, thus showing the world the strength of a national brand; “cost strategy for the whole supply chain”, “optimized layout of capacity”, “business coordination” and “international business” will run through the annual business plan of cable industry for 2018.

Zhang Yin, General Manager of Beijing Jing Hang’an Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jing Hang’an), mentioned in his report that in 2017 ,Jing Hang’an continued to maintain a healthy growth momentum, with profit for output value hitting a record high. It won China Construction Project Luban Award, which left an indelible mark for Jing Hang’an in 2017. In 2018, they will grasp the key points, stabilize the growth, conduct a clever layout and seek breakthroughs. Market development will be a top priority.

Liu Zhijun, Director and CEO of Anhui Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Anhui Cable), pointed out that in 2017, Anhui Cable took the opportunity of China’s vigorously developing and building nuclear power plants as well as the trend of industry agglomeration, to enhance its core competitiveness in nuclear power industry, and its project “Hualong No.1” was awarded the honor of “national treasure”; in 2018, Anhui Cable will continue to build itself into a “champion enterprise of nuclear power” in the industry, and boost the better development of nuclear-class cable products towards military and shipping industries.

Li Min, Director and General Manager of Shengda Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shengda Electric) said that in 2017, Shengda Electric persisted in structural adjustment and steady growth, thus realizing the enhancement of quantity and quality in production and management; it also persisted in management-focused strategy and performance improvement, thus achieving the significant improvement in production and operation capacities. In 2018, its work will focus on “optimizing the existing product structure”, “ensuring the realization of production and efficiency of copper foil project Phase I”, and “quickly starting the construction of copper foil project Phase II”.

Zhan Jun, COO of Far East Trading Pay Network Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Trading Pay), noted that in 2017, Trading Pay reached strategic cooperation with some well-known electrical and electronics suppliers including Schneider Electric, ABB, Delixi and Bull, and its platform operation capacity has seen continuous enhancement. Wu Songjian, Director and General Manager of Far East First New Energy (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as First Jiangsu), mentioned that, First Jiangsu came into operation in September 2017 and will realize mass production in December 2018. It will be built into a domestic and foreign first-class automated and intelligentized production base of soft-package and square-shell lithium batteries.

Huang Xiaodong, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Far East Integrated Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Integrated Technology), pointed out that, in 2017, Integrated Technology focused on the business objectives set at the beginning of the year to vigorously promote critical work such as market development, project implementation, and basic management. In 2018, while expanding the photovoltaic market segments, the company will actively develop other new energy projects or the integrated application business of renewable energy, which will be taken as main tasks.

Chen Biao, CEO of Jiangsu Luye Agrochemicals Co., Ltd. Enlightenment at Longchang
Extend innate knowledge, and nourish the soul with conscience. For the annual meeting training this year, instead of the training based on business courses in former years, we organized study session themed on “the extension of innate knowledge”. On February 24, Liu Fang, Director-General of Zhiliangzhi Public Welfare Foundation, and one of the ten founders of Zhiliangzhi Women's College, and Zhang Liping, Secretary-General and a lifetime volunteer of Zhiliangzhi Courtyard, the creator of “Courtyard Learning Approach”, and the author of the book titled Original Bright Heart, attended the annual meeting to share the core ideas put forward by Wang Yangming and the truth about Wang Yangming’s enlightenment at Longchang. Dong Jiayou, the founder of ROADMAN and a lawyer, gave an explanation of the tendering and biding law in combination with cases. Dong Jiayou noted that “avoiding legal risks, standardizing the action of invitation for bids, refusing to win a bid at the lowest price, and jointly creating a normative bidding environment are the responsibility of every entrepreneur.”

Subsequently, more than forty awards were announced in succession. Loyalty Award has become the most important award among all the awards in the annual meeting of Far East. This year, the Loyalty Award was granted by Jiang Xipei, Founder, Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the Party Committee, and Jiang Chengzhi, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group, and Chairman of Smarter Energy.
