Wins the “2018 International Investment Strategist Award”

Recently, “The 11th Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders” was held from November 1-2 in Yujiabao International Finance Roundtable Center of Tianjin Binhai New District. The roundtable was jointly held by Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area together with China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Global Compact and the University for Peace (UPEACE).

Zheng Wantong, Vice Chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), President of China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations and Chairman of Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders Organizing Committee, attended and hosted the opening ceremony. Du Qinglin, Secretary of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Vice Chairman of the 11th and 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of China Economic and Social Council, Honorary Chairman of China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations and Co-Chairman of Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders Organizing Committee, attended the opening ceremony and made a speech. Francisco Rojas, President of the UPEACE, read out the congratulatory letter sent by Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations. Ban Ki-moon, Former Secretary General of the United Nations and Chairman of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), sent a video to express his congratulations. Wang Shouwen, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China as well as Deputy Representative of International Trade Negotiations, and Zhang Yuzhuo, Member of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China as well asSecretary of Tianjin Binhai New District Committee, and entrepreneurs from famous domestic and foreign multinational corporations of Fortune Global 500 attended the roundtable.

With “Opened China and World” as the theme, this roundtable, based on the current profound development of world multi-polarization, economic globalization, social informatization and cultural diversity, upholds the principle of achieving a shared growth through discussion and collaboration, unswervingly adheres to opening to the outside world and promoting the development of the “Belt and Road” and takes “Promoting the Investment of Multinational Corporations, Strengthening the Social Responsibilities of Corporations and Promoting Sustainable Development” as the objective. The guests of the roundtable delivered speeches, establish conversations and exchange discussions centered on “The Opportunities and Challenges of Economic Globalization, the Sustainability and Reality of High-Quality Development of China’s Economy, the Balance and Security of Financial Openness and Supervision, the Win-Win Realization in Intellectual Property Protection and Technological Innovation, the Value of Social Responsibility of Business Leadership as well as the ‘Belt and Road’ Construction and Global Economic Growth Factors” In the one and a half day’s meeting, the guests attending the roundtable contributed their strategies on promoting openness and cooperation in the varying world pattern, especially the strategies of multinational corporations’ investment and cooperation, mutual-benefit and win-win implementation. Meanwhile, the representatives of the roundtable shared their new ideas, new views and experience of investment and cooperation on the ‘Belt and Road’ construction and global economic growth factors.
