Far East Cable Wins the “Standard Technology Innovation Award”

Recently, the result of the “Standard Technology Innovation Award” Election Activity held by China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization has been disclosed. The group standard T/CAS 255-2016 High Conductivity Aluminum Stranded Wire of Round-Wire Concentric-Stranded Aluminum-clad Steel Core won the award. It is drafted by Far East Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Far East Cable), the subsidiary of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Smarter Energy, stock code: 600869).

According to the regulations in Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Standard Technology Innovation Awards Selection, the review committee conducted the formal examination, the first review as well as the election publicity of the innovation, application, promotion, formulation, economic efficiency or social efficiency of the standard. At last, 52 standards, including the group standard T/CAS 255-2016 High Conductivity Aluminum Stranded Wire of Round-Wire Concentric-Stranded Aluminum-clad Steel Core drafted by Far East Cable were awarded the “Standard Technology Innovation Award” certificates and prize medals.

The national standardized reform strategy was comprehensively implemented in 2018. Far East Cable has closely centered on “The Standard Determines the Quality; the Quality is Determined by the Standard; Only High Standard Can Generate High Quality”, a theme pointed out by General Secretary Xi Jinping. Guided by the comprehensive practice of the spirit of the 19th National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China, the company has participated in the work of formulation and the revision of  tens of national, industrial or group standards such as GB/T 35970-2018 Construction Specification of Label Compliance Test Sample Library, GB/T 35969-2018 General Technical Specification for Label Compliance Testing and T/CAS 318-2018 Determination of Halogen Content of Polymers for Wire and Cable, Oxygen Bomb Combustion—Ion Chromatography. These participations have promoted the standardization reform, accelerated the upgrade of the standard, promoted the quality improvement of cable application engineering as well as fully boosted the transformation from China manufacturing to China Creating, from China Speed to China Quality and from China Product to China Brand. 

According to the report, the establishment of the standard technology innovation award has been approved (Award Number: 0292) by National Office for Science and Technology Awards of the Ministry of Science and Technology. China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization is specifically responsible for the assessment of the awards. The award is set up to further promote the standardization reform of China’s engineering construction, strengthen the implementation of the standards and the transformation of the standardized achievements, guarantee the security of product quality, develop the supporting role of the standards in the industrial transformation and upgrade and in the quality and efficiency improvement of economy as well as fully mobilize the initiative and creativity of standardization workers.
