On September 24, 2016 Jiangsu Academic Annual Conference on Applied Statistics and the 2nd Jiangsu Quality Tool and Statistics Technology Application Achievement Forum kicked off in New Far East Cable Co., Ltd. Statists, postgraduates and workers on quality and innovation from various institutions of higher learning, enterprise and public institutions attended the meeting. Yang Lijian, Professor of Tsinghua University and Distinguished Expert in China’s “Recruitment Program of Global Experts”; Su Chaodun, Academician of the International Academy For Quality and Professor of National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan); Zou Qingshi, Professor of National Taipei University of Business, delivered academic reports respectively. They also conducted group communication over statistical theory and application achievement. At last, experts reviewed the applied statistics research papers and cases of enterprise quality improvement. Far East Cable Co., Ltd. yielded fruitful achievements at the meeting. Xia Feifei, an employee from the Third Cable R&D Department, won the first prize with Enhancing the Qualification Rate of Aluminum Wires with High Conductivity. The second prize went to Wang Dongyuan (Third Cable R&D Department) and Gao Yupeng (Quality Management Department), whose papers were respectively The Development of Aerial Insulated Cable One-Step Production Technique and Enhancing the Homogeneity of Large-section and Single-core Irradiation Motor Cable. Gu Kunlin (Detection and measurement Center and Wang Zhanming (Special Low-voltage Cable Plant) carried off the third prize respectively with Lowering the Maximum Error of Tensile Machine and The process optimization of Silane Cross Linked Polyethylene Insulated Dual-Color Cable.
